Diabetes may cause Thinning of Hair and Hair Loss

Diabetes may cause thinning of hair and Hair Loss. Stress is associated with Diabetes and may be one of the causative factors of Diabetes, Stress is also a major factor responsible for Hair Loss. Thinning of Hair and Excessive hair loss are few conditions which are frequently responsible for Diagnosis of Diabetes.

Fungal infections of skin and scalp are common in uncontrolled Diabetics, usually fungal infections take over only when local immunity is decreased , as happens due to high blood glucose levels. Severe infections may even lead to patches of baldness if left untreated. Normalization of blood glucose and appropriate medical treatment with topical lotions and shampoos helps in resolution of these Hai related problems.
